Outdoor photography for adventurous families
As a mother to an active toddler, I know that getting photos of your family all together, doing what you love, isn’t always easy. You’re juggling a lot and booking a family photo shoot isn’t your number one priority.
I truly value all the little moments that make up life with my three year old and if there’s anything this past year has taught me it’s that life can change in an instant. These times together won’t last forever.
Rather than a forced photography session in a studio, I want to offer an alternative. A different type of photoshoot that fits with your everyday life. A session that feels just like your regular outings together. Because after all, it’s the adventures you take together that will become the lasting memories of your family.
I want to create art with you that you can put on your wall and every time you see those images you’ll be reminded of the feeling of satisfaction at the end of a good walk, the happy tiredness when you come home from a ride, the curiosity in your child’s eyes as they explore the water’s edge, the giggles as little feet get wet whilst playing on the shore, the exhausted tears of small people who don’t want to go home yet.
Mini sessions are a new offering by me and to celebrate this and the end of our latest lockdown restrictions, I’m giving these sessions for free on the first two dates below.
What are mini sessions?
Mini sessions are short photo shoots that happen on a set date in a set location. They differ from my full two hour family photography session where you choose the time and location. You can think of mini sessions as a ‘taster’ of what working with me is like. The sessions start on the hour and last a maximum of 45 minutes.
Where and when are these mini sessions happening?
The first of these family mini sessions are happening as follows:
- March 20th 2021 at Padarn Country Park near Llanberis **FULLY BOOKED**
- April 3rd 2021 at Dinas Dinlle beach **FULLY BOOKED**

These particular mini sessions will be following the latest coronavirus regulations, meaning no more than 3 adults/children over 11 from one household can book a session at this time. Current rules state that 4 adults from two households can meet outdoors, so that’s me and my one household and then you and yours. Children under 11 aren’t included in the numbers. You should also be local (live within 5 miles) to these particular locations.
What should we expect?
A fun photography session that leaves even the totally camera shy at ease! My style is hands off for the most part and my direction is subtle and minimal. Whilst I am a big planner myself and I am thorough in my work, I like to see where a photo session takes us and follow the action that arises organically. I suggest we do what you usually do in these places, be it taking a walk, playing by the water, building a sandcastle, whatever is the norm for you and family and whatever you feel comfortable doing. I won’t be asking you to hold static poses or cheesy grins. I aim to include everyone in the photos and provide a mix of individual shots and the elusive photos of everyone relaxing all together having fun. My goal is to capture your true nature and to provide you with a photography experience that is enjoyable and stress free.
What will we receive?
After your session, I will edit the photos in my signature style and deliver to you a curated online gallery. From here you’ll be able to select your five favourite images to download. These are then yours to share with friends and family online or as prints. It might be tough to just pick five so you’ll also have the option of purchasing additional images or the complete gallery. Prints and products can also be ordered via the gallery as well.

Once you’ve selected your time slot you’ll receive a confirmation email from me with some more information for you.
What’s the fee?
Usually the session fee for mini shoots is £45. But as a welcome gift from me to you to celebrate my arrival in North Wales, I am not charging a session fee. You’ll receive 5 images of your choosing for free.
Additional images can be purchased for £10. You can also buy the full gallery for £95 and you’ll also be able to order prints and products direct from the gallery delivered straight to your door. All payments are done securely online via Stripe.
Anything else we need to know?
I will be following all COVID19 related government guidelines with regards to these sessions and will remain a social distance of 2m away from you. Don’t worry about this impacting your photos as it’s rare for me to need to be closer than this in ‘normal times’. Please stay local and within your bubble.
